Positive phase 3 results reported in trial for new Covid-19 vaccine

A clinical trial supported by the NIHR Cambridge CRF for a new vaccine against COVID-19 has received positive Phase 3 results.

COV002: Covid-19 Vaccine Trial

The COV002 trial aims to assess how well people across a broad range of ages could be protected from COVID-19 using a new vaccine called ChAdOx1 nCoV-19. It will also provide valuable information on safety of the vaccine and its ability to generate good immune responses against the virus.

Cambridge Clinical Research Facility (CRF) is the largest, single site NIHR CRF. It is located in the heart of the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, the largest centre of medical research and health science in Europe.

The NIHR Cambridge Clinical Research Facility (CRF) is part of the NIHR and hosted by Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
