Owen was six months old when his parents noticed a few health concerns and he was invited to take part in the 100,000 Genomes project.
The findings showed a gene that might be affecting him called THRA, a rare thyroid condition. Owen was then sent to meet NIHR Cambridge CRF Director, Prof Krish Chatterjee who has an interest in rare thyroid conditions.
